Toisenlainen arki on sarja pieniä, vähän surrealistisvaikutteisia kuvia. Sen ensimmäiset pari työtä (piparminttuteet valaineen) valmistuivat kesällä 2015, ja seuraavat työt valmistuivat syksyllä 2017. Sarjalla on juurensa vieläkin kauempana: alunperin suunnittelin teoksia vuoden 2011 Kuvituksia olemattomiin kertomuksiin -näyttelyyni, mutta tuolloin ne eivät vielä ottaneet muotoaan. Tuolloin sarjan nimi oli jo valmiina, mutta ajatus – tai idea sen takana – oli vielä kovin raakile. Tarkoitus on tehdä sarjaan yhteensä kolmekymmentä kuvaa, joten jatkoa on odotettavissa…

Another Kind of Life is a bit surreal series of small prints. The first prints (teas with whales) were finished in summer 2015, and the following ones were finished on autumn 2017. The roots of the series reach further away in time, though: originally I planned this series for my 2011 exhibition Illustrations for Non-Existent Stories, but they just didn’t find their form right then. The title was then already written down, but the idea behind it was still very unfinished. I plan to make total of thirty pictures to this series, so… to be continued…
