Työstin kuvasarjaa syksystä 2012 kevääseen 2013. Halusin entistä rosoisempaa ja rouheampaa jälkeä, niinpä tekovaiheessa pesin, raavin, maalasin kuvia yhtä uudelleen ja yhä uudelleen, kunnes sain niihin haluamani ulkoasun.

Vedokset ovat päällekkäisvedoksia, joissa olen tehnyt kuvaan useita kerroksia; tällä tekniikalla on mahdotonta tehdä sataprosenttisen samanlaisia vedoksia, joten sarjan vedoksissa on keskenään pieniä sävy- ja tummuuseroja.

Sarjaa on tarkoitus jatkaa myöhemmin. Kokonaisuudessaan sarjaan on luonnosteltuna 12 kuvaa, mutta valmistusprosessi on niin hankala ja hidas, että prosessi vienee aikaa hyvän tovin.

I made this series from the autumn 2013 to spring 2013. I wanted to make more rough and rugged surfaces, and the process included a lot of washing, scratching and painting pictures all over and over again, until the pictures were what I wanted them to be.

I have made these prints by using over-printing techniques: I print the works several times using several layers. With this technique it is impossible to make prints that are 100% similar with each other, so there are some differences in hue and in contrast between the prints.

I’m planning to continue the series later. There are total of 12 pictures sketched, but the process is so demanding and slow, that it could take a while before new pictures will join the series.
