Pax & Eirene I ja II -kuvaparin tein Todellisuuspakomatka-näyttelyyn (heinäkuu 2024 Höyry-galleria, Korpilahti, Jyväskylä). Tein teokset nimenomaan kuvaparina, mutta näyttelyssä päädyin aloittamaan näyttelykierron teoksella Pax & Eirene I ja päättämään sen Pax & Eirene II. Näyttelyni sai alkunsa tarpeesta paeta hetkeksi maailman kurjia uutisia, ja ehkä tämä kuvapari omalla tavallaan oli näyttelyn höllä kiinnikekohta todellisuuteen – mytologinen muistutus siitä, että todellisuus on olemassa.

I made the image pair of Pax & Eirene I and II to my Day Trip to Escapism exhibition at Höyry gallery in Korpilahti, Jyväskylä in July 2024. I specifically made these prints as a pair, but at the exhibition I decided to start the numbering with Pax & Eirene I and at the other end of the room to end it with Pax & Eirene II. I built my exhibition from the need to just escape from the daily news, just for a while anyway, and maybe this pair in its own way was the loose bridge to reality – a mythological reminder of that the reality exists.
